SOCMA held its 2024 Regional Roundtable on September 16-17 at the Baker Hughes Headquarters. The event brought together members and industry colleagues to facilitate dialogue, leverage industry expertise on issues relevant to manufacturing operations, and provide peer-to-peer networking opportunities. With a myriad of regulatory and operational challenges facing specialty chemical manufacturing, including the recent release of the Risk Management Plan Rule, the Roundtable emphasized the importance of cultivating internal technical and regulatory knowledge within teams. The sessions focused on top-of-mind issues and common struggles impacting facilities. Attendees, including EHS, regulatory compliance, regulatory affairs, and plant managers, had the opportunity to gain key industry intelligence and take away tangible best practices vital to their operations.
